A lonely mermaid longs for companionship. The mermaid sat on a rock, her tail swaying in the current. She watched the other creatures of the sea play and interact, and she felt a pang of loneliness. She had no friends, and she longed for someone to share her life with. One day, a young prince was sailing by in his boat. He saw the mermaid and was immediately captivated by her beauty. He stopped his boat and called out to her. "Hello," he said. "What is your name?" "My name is Ariel," the mermaid said. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Ariel," the prince said. "What are you doing all alone out here?" "I am lonely," Ariel said. "I have no friends." "I would be happy to be your friend," the prince said. Ariel smiled. "That would be wonderful," she said. The prince and Ariel became fast friends. They would spend hours talking and laughing together. The prince told Ariel about his life on land, and she told him about her life under the sea. One day, the prince asked Ariel to marry him. Ariel was overjoyed. She had finally found someone who loved her and understood her. The prince and Ariel were married in a beautiful ceremony under the sea. All of the creatures of the sea attended, and they celebrated the happy couple. Ariel and the prince lived happily ever after. They had many children, who all grew up to be kind and compassionate rulers.
