Independence Day is a time to celebrate the brave patriots who fought for our freedom. This year, we commemorate the 247th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. On this day, we remember the sacrifices that these patriots made to ensure that we could live in a free and independent country. One of the most important battles of the Revolutionary War was the Battle of Trenton. This battle took place on December 25, 1776, and was a turning point in the war. The Continental Army, led by General George Washington, defeated a much larger Hessian force. This victory gave the Americans much-needed hope and boosted morale. The Battle of Trenton is a reminder of the courage and determination of the American patriots. It is also a reminder of the importance of freedom. We are fortunate to live in a country where we can enjoy the freedoms that the patriots fought so hard to secure.
