Steven Adler was an American musician. He was best known as the former drummer and co-songwriter of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses. Adler was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1965. He began playing drums at the age of 12. He joined Guns N' Roses in 1985 and played on their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, which was released in 1987. The album was a huge success, selling over 30 million copies worldwide. Adler was fired from Guns N' Roses in 1990 due to his drug problems. He later formed the band Adler's Appetite, which released two albums. Adler died of a drug overdose in 2018.
