The young woman ran through the forest, her heart pounding in her chest. She could hear the sound of her pursuers close behind her, and she knew that she had to find a way to escape. Suddenly, she saw a path up ahead. She didn't know where it led, but she knew that it was her only chance. She sprinted towards it, and as she reached it, she turned and saw her pursuers emerge from the trees. They were too far away to catch her now, and she breathed a sigh of relief. She had escaped. She continued down the path, and soon she came to a clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a small cottage. She knocked on the door, and a moment later, it opened. A woman stood in the doorway. She was old and frail, but she had a kind face. "Can I help you?" she asked. "I'm being chased," the young woman said. "Can you hide me?" The woman smiled. "Of course," she said. "Come in." The young woman went inside, and the woman closed the door behind her. "What's your name?" the woman asked. "My name is Anya," the young woman said. "Well, Anya, you're safe here," the woman said. "No one will find you here." Anya smiled. "Thank you," she said. She sat down at the table, and the woman poured her a cup of tea. "So, what's going on?" the woman asked. Anya told her about how she had been accused of a crime she didn't commit, and how she had been forced to flee from her home. The woman listened patiently, and when Anya was finished, she said, "I'm so sorry that this has happened to you. But you're safe here now. I'll help you get through this." Anya smiled. "Thank you," she said. "I don't know what I would have done without you." The woman smiled back. "You're welcome," she said. "Now, let's get you some rest." The woman showed Anya to a bed in the back of the cottage, and Anya lay down and fell asleep. The next morning, Anya woke up to the sound of birds singing. She got out of bed and went to the window. The sun was shining, and the birds were flitting about in the trees. Anya smiled. She was finally safe.
