Tiffany Hwang (born August 1, 1989), known mononymously as Tiffany, is an American singer and actress based in South Korea. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she was discovered by South Korean entertainment agency S.M. Entertainment at the age of fifteen and subsequently moved to South Korea. After four years of training, Tiffany debuted as a member of girl group Girls' Generation in 2007. Tiffany has released two solo albums in South Korea, Lips (2011) and I Just Wanna Dance (2016), and one extended play, Twinkle (2012). She has also starred in several television dramas and films, including The Heirs (2013), The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016), and Backstreet Rookie (2020). In addition to her work in South Korea, Tiffany has also released music in the United States. She released her debut American single, "Over My Skin", in 2014, and her debut EP, True, in 2016. Tiffany is a popular figure in both South Korea and the United States. She has won numerous awards for her music and acting, and she is considered to be one of the most successful Korean artists of all time.
