The Floating Books and Pencils The books and pencils float in the sky, Awaiting their chance to be caught. They drift through the clouds, Along with the other lost things. The children reach up to grab them, But they are too quick. The books and pencils fly away, Laughing at the children's attempts. One day, a child is determined to catch a book. He watches and waits, And when the moment is right, He reaches up and grabs it. The book is heavy in his hands, But he holds on tight. He runs home with it, Excited to show his parents. His parents are proud of him, And they celebrate his victory. The child learns that anything is possible, If you set your mind to it. He continues to reach for the books and pencils, And he catches them every time. He learns that he can do anything he sets his mind to, And he is filled with joy.
