If an Apollo asteroid were to collide with Earth, it would cause a devastating impact. The impact would release a huge amount of energy, which would create a crater and send debris into the atmosphere. This debris would block out the sun, causing global cooling and crop failure. It could also trigger volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. The impact would likely cause the extinction of many species, including humans. Fortunately, there are ways to mitigate the threat posed by the Apollo asteroids. One way is to track their orbits and identify those that are on a collision course with Earth.
