It is Sasha's birthday, and her friends Cloe, Yasmin, and the rest of the Bratz are planning a surprise party for her. They want to make her a delicious cookie cake, but they need help from someone who knows how to bake. Do you know how to make a cookie cake? If so, then you can help the Bratz make Sasha's birthday cake a success. Here are the ingredients you will need: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup milk 1 cup chocolate chips Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. 3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and egg until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla extract. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips. 4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely before frosting. For the frosting, you can use your favorite buttercream frosting recipe. Once the cake is completely cooled, frost it and decorate it with your favorite candies or sprinkles. Sasha is sure to love her cookie cake!
