Barking Mad The dog pound was in chaos. There were dogs everywhere, all barking and whining. The workers were trying to keep order, but it was no use. The dogs were too excited. "Woof woof!" "Bark bark!" "Ruff ruff!" The noise was deafening. Suddenly, one of the dogs broke away from the crowd and ran up to a worker. "Help!" the dog said. "We've gone barking mad! There are so many dogs here, and we just can't match the pairs!" The worker sighed. He knew this was a problem. The pound was always overcrowded, and it was hard to keep track of all the dogs. "I'll do my best," he said. The worker started to sort the dogs into pairs. He put the big dogs together, the small dogs together, and the puppies together. As he worked, he thought about the problem. He knew that he needed to find a better way to manage the dogs. "Maybe I could get some volunteers to help," he thought. "Or maybe I could build a new pound with more space." The worker continued to work, and as he worked, he came up with a plan. He knew that he could make the pound a better place for the dogs.
