The faster you fart, the louder it will be. So, take your time and let it out slowly. 2. Cushion the fart. If you're sitting down, try to fart into your hand or onto a piece of cloth. This will help to absorb the sound and prevent it from traveling too far. 3. Cover your mouth. If you're standing up, try to cover your mouth with your hand or arm as you fart.
