A Day of Freedom There is no need to wake up early today. There is no rush to catch the school bus. There is no homework to be done. And yet, there are so many questions that arise. What will I wear to the park? What should I do with my hair? What will I say to my friends when I see them at our favorite coffee shop? These are the questions that fill my mind on a day of freedom. It is a day to explore, to create, and to be myself. I can go to the park and play on the swings. I can read a book in the shade of a tree. I can draw a picture or write a story. I can do whatever I want, and there is no one to tell me otherwise. It is a day to spend with my friends. We can go to the movies or play video games. We can talk about our lives and our dreams. We can laugh and cry and be ourselves. It is a day to be free. It is a day to live.
