Thrust into the spotlight by a wardrobe malfunction, the lowly sidekick must face a hostile press corps expecting a hero. The sidekick had always been content to stay in the background, supporting the hero from afar. But when the hero's costume malfunctioned during a public appearance, the sidekick was forced to step up and take center stage. The press corps was not impressed. They had come to see the hero, and they were not happy to be met with a sidekick instead. They peppered the sidekick with questions, demanding to know why the hero was not there. The sidekick did his best to answer the questions, but he could tell that the press corps was not satisfied. They wanted to see the hero, and they were not going to let anything else get in their way. The sidekick felt the pressure building. He knew that he was not doing a good job, but he did not know what else to do. He was trapped in a situation that he did not know how to handle. Finally, the sidekick could take it no more. He turned and walked away from the press corps. He knew that he had failed, but he also knew that he could not stay there any longer. The sidekick walked away, feeling defeated and humiliated. He had never felt so alone. He did not know what the future held for him, but he knew that he would never forget this day.
