A family dinner is always a special occasion, but when it's a holiday feast, it's even more so. The aromas of delicious food fill the air, and everyone is excited to see what's on the menu. This year, Ami is taking on the challenge of cooking the main course: a turkey. She's never done it before, but she's confident that she can pull it off. Ami starts by brining the turkey in a mixture of water, salt, and herbs. This will help to keep the meat moist and flavorful. After the turkey has brined for a few hours, she removes it from the brine and rinses it off. Then, she rubs it with a mixture of butter, herbs, and spices. Ami places the turkey in a roasting pan and sets it in the oven. She cooks the turkey for several hours, basting it occasionally with the pan drippings. When the turkey is cooked through, she removes it from the oven and lets it rest for a few minutes before carving it. The turkey is a huge success! It's moist and flavorful, and everyone raves about it. Ami is so glad that she took on the challenge of cooking the turkey. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it to see the look on everyone's faces when they tasted her delicious turkey.
