The border of Ederra was a dangerous place. It was not uncommon for bands of brigands to waylay travelers and steal their belongings. But Erion, the guard, was determined to protect his country from these thieves. One day, a group of men approached the border. They claimed to have business with the king, but Erion was suspicious. He ordered them to halt, but they refused. Instead, they drew their swords and attacked. Erion fought bravely, but he was outnumbered. Just when it seemed like he was about to be defeated, a group of other guards arrived. Together, they drove off the attackers. After the battle, Erion questioned the prisoners. He learned that they were part of a larger band of brigands who were planning to attack Ederra. Erion knew that he had to stop them before they could cause any harm. He gathered a group of guards and set out after the brigands. They tracked them down to a cave in the mountains. The brigands were preparing to attack Ederra when Erion and his men arrived. The guards fought bravely, and in the end, they were victorious. They captured the brigands and brought them back to Ederra. The king was grateful for Erion's help, and he promoted him to captain of the guard. Erion was proud of his accomplishment. He had protected his country from danger, and he had made Ederra a safer place.
