You carefully scope out your target, taking note of his position and movements. You wait for the perfect moment, then squeeze the trigger. Your shot is true, and the enemy officer falls to the ground. You have succeeded in your mission. You return to your trench, proud of your accomplishment. But your victory is short-lived. The enemy launches a counterattack, and you are forced to retreat. You fight your way back to your lines, but many of your comrades are killed or wounded. You are one of the few who make it out alive. You are shaken by the experience, but you know that you must continue to fight. You are a soldier, and it is your duty to protect your country. You vow to never give up, no matter what the cost. You fight on for many more months, witnessing the horrors of war firsthand. You see your friends die, and you yourself are wounded several times. But you never give up. You know that you must keep fighting, for the sake of your country and your fellow soldiers. Finally, the war is over.
