A Short Story Inspired by the Prompt The man walked through the forest, his head down and his shoulders slumped. He was unlucky. He had always been unlucky. It seemed like no matter what he did, something would go wrong. Just this morning, he had been walking to the market when he tripped and fell into a mud puddle. His clothes were ruined, and he had to walk home in the rain. He sighed and continued on his way. He didn't know what he was going to do. He had no money, no job, and no friends. He was all alone in the world. Suddenly, he heard a noise. He looked up and saw a group of goblins coming towards him. They were armed with swords and axes, and they looked mean. The man knew he was in trouble. He turned to run, but the goblins were too fast. They caught him and dragged him into the forest. The goblins took the man to their camp, where they tied him to a tree. They laughed and jeered at him, and they made fun of his bad luck. The man was scared. He didn't know what the goblins were going to do to him. He closed his eyes and waited for the worst. But then, something strange happened. The goblins started to fight among themselves. They argued and shouted, and they even drew their weapons. The man watched in amazement. He couldn't believe his luck. The goblins were too busy fighting each other to notice him. The man took his chance. He untied himself from the tree and ran away. He ran as fast as he could, and he didn't look back. The man ran until he came to a clearing. He collapsed on the ground, exhausted. He had escaped the goblins, but he was still lost. He looked up at the sky and sighed. He didn't know what he was going to do, but he knew that he had to keep going. He had to find a way to survive. The man stood up and started walking. He didn't know where he was going, but he knew that he had to keep moving. He had to find a way to turn his luck around.
