Kolobok: 21st Century Adventure

Kolobok was a round little bread man who lived in the forest. He was always getting into trouble, but he always managed to find his way out. One day, Kolobok was walking through the forest when he saw a group of animals. The animals were arguing about who was the strongest. Kolobok decided to settle the argument by challenging them to a race. The animals agreed to the race. The first animal to cross the river would be declared the winner. The animals lined up at the starting line. Kolobok was in the back of the line. He knew that he wasn't the fastest animal, but he was determined to win. When the race started, the animals took off running. Kolobok started slowly, but he gradually picked up speed. He passed the bear, the wolf, and the fox. He was almost to the river when he saw the hare. The hare was ahead of him, but Kolobok wasn't giving up. Kolobok ran as fast as he could. He was just about to cross the river when the hare tripped him. Kolobok fell into the water and sank. The animals thought that Kolobok was dead, but he wasn't. He swam to the surface and swam to shore. The animals were amazed. They couldn't believe that Kolobok had survived. They declared him the winner of the race. Kolobok was happy to have won, but he was even happier to have made new friends.
