The Minimalism Journey tells the tale of a man who takes the philosophy of minimalism (eliminating what is not required) a bit too literally. He starts by getting rid of all of his possessions, down to the bare essentials. He lives in a small apartment with no furniture and only the items he needs to survive. He cooks his own meals and grows his own vegetables. He even gives up his car and starts biking everywhere. At first, the man is happy with his new life. He feels free and unburdened. But as time goes on, he begins to realize that there is more to life than just having the bare necessities. He misses the comfort of his old life and the relationships he had with the people around him. Eventually, the man decides to give up on minimalism. He starts to buy things again and to build relationships with the people around him. He realizes that minimalism is not about having as little as possible, but about living a life that is meaningful and fulfilling.
